Dominican Republic Part II

No doubt, we are a family that stick to a routine and vacation was no different. For the most part, here was the schedule while in the Dominican Republic.

8:00 am Wake Up (this is major sleeping in for us)

8:30 am Head to Breakfast. This was an all inclusive resort, so we didn't have to worry about cooking. We just piled a bunch of pancakes up for the babies and let them go nuts.

9:00 - 10:00 am  Spend an hour or so at the kiddie pool. Have first cocktail.

10:00 am - 12:30 pm Build sandcastles on the beach and swim in the ocean. Continue having cocktails.

12:30 - 1:00 pm Shower babies off and take them to lunch. This usually consisted of a plate of french fries. Have a cocktail with lunch.

1:00 - 4:00 pm Babies pass out under the cabana. Sometimes this took some coaxing and head rubbing, but they went down fairly easy most days. Mom and Dad read their books, take a dip in the ocean and sip more cocktails.

4:00 - 5:30 pm Build sandcastles on the beach and swim in the ocean. Cocktails, of course.

5:30 - 6:30 pm Take kids back to room and shower up for dinner. Watch an episode of the Flintstones.

6:30 - 7:30 pm Feed the kids dinner. This usually consisted of a plate of french fries. Cocktails.

7:30 - 10:00 pm Take the kids to the disco (video to come), or whatever entertainment was going on that night. This is very late for us, but we are on vacation. We have a night capper and head back to the room.

10:00 - 10:30 pm Fall asleep watching Scooby Doo. Sleeping in the same room as our triplets was the worst part of the trip. At least half of the nights we were there, we didn't sleep much at all. But on vacation, you suck it up. By the way, at an all inclusive the cocktails tend to be weak. So, you have to either order many or learn the phrase "mucho ron".

And here I've been so worried about Sarah and Adam freezing their buns off in MN! The video is like a dream - so bright and colorful and fun to watch our great friends! Thanks for letting us live your vacation vicariously through your blog. Lisa Davis (I had to look up "vicariously" to make sure I used it right: "felt or enjoyed through imagined participation in the experience of others." Yep, that's what I meant!)

That was the best! If you keep posting like this you are going to have all of your "followers" following you on vacation! Looks wonderful, I can honestly say, wish I was there : )
Hows Niklas?
