Niklas Comes Home!

After 85 long days in the NICU, the Trio is finally all at home. Everyone is on oxygen so that they continue to grow well, but other than that everyone is doing just fine. It was sort of emotional leaving the NICU as the doctors and nurses were sad to see Niklas go. They all had this special attachment to him considering everything he fought through. It's hard to believe that there were times when we thought Niklas might not make it. It seemed as soon as we walked out of the hospital we both felt a huge sense of relief and exhaustion at the same time. We both held up pretty well throughout this whole experience, but it was like we just finished a marathon.

From this point on, the babies will each be sleeping in separate cribs in the nursery instead of a pack 'n' play outside our bedroom. I am sure the babies will have a little trouble adjusting to this at first, but it will be better in the long run. Here is a picture of Niklas resting in his bed after almost 3 months in the hospital.

Let me be the first to say - YEAH Congratulations on having them all at home. I'm sure it will seem strange not going to the NICU but finally you guys can try and get some sort of normalcy bacl in your life. As normal as a couple with 3 babies and a dog can be.

Jason and Greta I know you have been though a lot and I all I can say is God bless you for your stamina, patience, and optimism.

Also I know my sister is resting a little bit better now that these guys are home. What a long three months but guess what - they all made it.

Love you guys - good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers. Love Aunt Nancy

Greta and Jason,
What a blessing to have all the babies home. I know how long the time has seemed for you but please be thankful that each baby has come home. These little ones beat the odds and now the fun has just begun. Take care of yourselves and each baby.

Welcome home Niklas! What an awesome family! I can't imagine the joy you all have being together in the same house when you go to bed. That NICU will always hold a special place in your hearts as those people truly did their jobs and much, much more. CONGRATULATIONS! The Davis Family

How blessed you are. I am so excited for you Greta and Jason. It was a long haul that you both handled beautifully. God picked the right parents for the triplets. Enjoy your little bundles of joy. Good luck! Oh yea, I want your mom back!

Welcome home Niklas! I have tears of joy this morning reading the blog. Words escape me, but emotions do not. A big hug for all of you, for your family and their support, and for your tenacity to hang in there when things were tough.

Congtratulations! I am so excited for you and your family that you are all healthy and home together (including Floyd). What a crazy ride you all have experienced! I'm impressed by both you and Jason in your strength (as well as the stength of your munchkins - it's obvious that they take after their special parents!). Thank you for keeping us all informed so we could celebrate this with you.

I wish you all the happiness in the world!

I know that you have been blessed with three beautiful babies, who's strength and perseverence have been amazing (mom and dad too). They must take after their parents :)
Thank you for keeping the blog updated so that we could know how everyone was doing.
Take care of your special family.
