Day 46

Today was relatively quiet. All 3 are still in the same crib together and are doing well with it. Niklas had his first brain scan since his surgery and his ventricles are doing remarkably well. They will continue to tap the reservoir on a daily basis until further notice. The doctors did notice that Niklas's white blood cell count had gone up in his spinal fluid, which can be a sign of infection, so they started him on antibiotics. The good news is that he is showing no symptoms of infection and the cultures done on Saturday were all negative, but he will continue to be closely watched. Thanks again to everyone who is reading and following this blog. Greta and I look forward to reading all of the comments every day and checking the hit counter to see how many people have visited. It's a great feeling to know that there are so many people pulling for us and sending their prayers and positive thoughts to our babies.

I just want Greta to know that I think she is an awesome mom to breast feed 3 little babies! I did one at a time without having to work around complications and it was a big sacrifice. What a great way to give them an extra boost. And all the time you spend holding them and taking care of them! And Jason is an awesome dad for spending so much time with the babies, taking time to update this blog, and work! I don't know how you are both doing it, but by the grace of God! I know your dedication is a huge part of the babies' progress! Lisa D.

With all of the users and page views, you should contract someone to sell some advertising. I don't know who, but someone that knows the business and would only want a small cut of the profits.

How wonderful to see them all together. I love that Gabbie is in the middle - I have a feeling her brothers are going to be quite the protectors when she is older and other boys come calling.

Our family will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
