Day 62

Barring any exceptions, Gabbie is on track to come home this Friday. She will most likely be coming home on oxygen either full time or possibly just while she eats. Nevertheless, we will finally have a baby at home. Tonight I got to the NICU and fed Lukas. Shortly afterwards we were given the option to complete our infant CPR class. Basically we sat in a room for an hour and a half and performed CPR on this creepy mannequin that looked like a robot capable of shooting lasers out of its eyes. Seriously, this thing looked like it was straight out of Buck Rogers. Anyway, everyone else is making steady progress and we are hoping that the boys are no more than 2 weeks behind their sister. Each time I go to the hospital they look a little stronger and healthier to me.

Can't wait until I can finally hold a baby for as long as I want. Wish all three were coming home, but this is a step in the right direction. Get ready Jason; mom will soon be moving in!

Love, granny

Greta - you look so beautiful and happy! Maybe I shouldn't check this blog at work - I have tears in my eyes! (My coworkers are going to think I am crazy :) I am so glad to hear that it looks like Gabbie is coming home tomorrow and the boys aren't far behind...I am counting the days until I am allowed to come see them. Just FYI: I can't promise I am going to leave your house once the babies come home - you may have to kick me out! :)

Dude, you gotta get that baby mannequin. I know we can incorporate it into your halloween decorations.

I love this picture, Gretie you look so beautiful wiht your babies! You need a third arm though so you can hold them all at the same time. I'm not surprised Jason was scared of the CPR manequin, he's always had a fear of dolls. Congrats to Gabbie on her success and watch out for Granny, she's gonna pinch your cheeks...a lot!
