Happy (Belated) 5 Week Birthday!

It's been 5 weeks since these little guys have entered the world, and they have been such little fighters making such wonderful progress. Today was another good day, Niklas's brain scan was unchanged and it was also his first day breast feeding. Lukas spent 6 hours off of his C-PAP and Gabbie had a stable day. I got to do Kangaroo Care with Niklas for about an hour tonight. What made me even happier was the temper tantrum performed by Niklas . He did the same routine of pulling out his cannula while screaming everytime I tried to put it in. However, all it took was for me to place my hands over him to make him go right to sleep. Greta, of course, spent most of the day in the NICU and in addition to the daily routine the daily reading selections were....
"Are You My Mother?" and "Cat in The Hat". It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who is in one of the pictures, the other is of Niklas. Also, check out the link on the side of the blog to our flickr photos. You need a Yahoo account to view them, but there are a bunch there.

I love the pictures, keep them coming! Maybe you can get one of all three of them w/their little hats on! Give the babies kisses for me. I'm counting down the days till I can kiss them myself!

I have been off-line for a week and finally got caught up. Amazing progress! Awesome pictures! Love to read the past blog comments. I've learned that Jason has a big head, Greta likes to do the mommy thing (which will come in handy doing that x3!), Sarah wants to give out kisses, Ben doesn't know his vocabulary, and "Granny" wears bifocals! Just to enlighten Ben, and I must say, myself also, I looked it up.
Dictionary.com Unabridged
co·nun·drum Pronunciation(kuh-nuhn-druhm)
–noun 1. a riddle, the answer to which involves a pun or play on words, as What is black and white and read all over? A newspaper.
2. anything that puzzles.
At this point, Niklas is the conundrum. When they are pre-teens, I can guarantee you that Gabbie will assume that title!

I love seeing the pictures of the babies, especially in their own clothes. Hope everyone continues to pray for them. If anyone out there reads these blogs and doesn't know how to leave your comment, all you have to do is choose anonymous and respond. I mention this because it took me a while to figure it out. Would love to hear from everyoe...granny

After running into you at the hospital today, I made a point to come home and check out your blog... and read the entire thing. I have to admit that these 3 little miracles are inspirational to me. If these tiny little beings can fight so hard, then everything I'm going through is just cake! What amazing, beautiful children you have. :)

J and G-

I am glad everybody's thoughts and prayers seem to be having postive effects on the muskateers.

I notice they have taken a liking to ski caps. I am going going to Colorado this week and would be happy to teach them how to snowboard. Like many things, it is something that is easiest to learn young. Lord knows they could use a vacation.

Try to stay sane and know that the children's fighting along is an insiration for all.
